Investigators Work To Build Timeline In Burning Death

BATESVILLE, Miss. (AP) – Panola County District Attorney John Champion says authorities still seek details on where Jessica Chambers was in the last hour before she was found burned.

Champion held a news conference Tuesday, discussing where else the 19-year-old woman traveled on her life’s last day.

He hopes releasing the information will encourage more people to contact authorities with tips that could lead to whoever killed Chambers.

She was found walking from her blazing car after 8 p.m. on Dec. 6. near Courtland. She had been burned over 98 percent of her body.

Investigators want to know where she was between 6:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. WMC-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1vd6uhB ) authorities have details about her whereabouts for nearly every other moment of that day.
