COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — Attorneys for Vinod Khosla, the primary backer of the KiOR plant, have reached a settlement with the Mississippi Development Authority and others over appointing a receiver for the Columbus plant facility.

Both sides today agreed a receiver would take control of the mothballed production site in Columbus.

The MDA wanted the deal so it could have a claim to recover some of the money owed on a loan given to KiOR.

Khosla’s group was able to get the state to agree it had no claim to any of the intellectual property on the site, and that it would keep any research documents secret.
