Tonight: We will see a mix of clouds and stars this evening. Expect the sticky, humid conditions to continue and temperatures to drop to the low 70s.
Labor Day Holiday: As a cold front approaches the area we will see increasing cloud cover throughout the morning hours. High temperatures will hang out near the mid 90s for the last day this week. Scattered showers and storms will be possible beginning in the early afternoon and continuing through the evening. Heavy downpours, gusty winds, and lightning will be associated with a few of these storms. Remember, if you hear thunder or see lightning, pack up and go indoors for a little while. Overnight temperatures will drop into the low 70s again, but cooler, drier air is on the way!
Tuesday: A few lingering showers may be possible in the morning hours behind the cold front. For the most part, though, we can expect the skies to clear and slightly cooler air to begin moving into the area. We will still hover around the 90 degree mark for our high temperature, but lows will finally drop back into the mid 60s overnight.
Wednesday – Friday: We couldn’t ask for a better way to finish out an already short work week! High pressure returns to the region bringing a sunny, pleasant finish to the work week. Highs will range from the upper 80s to low 90s, and overnight lows will sink into the mid 60s.
Next Weekend: Temperatures will remain mild in the low 90s, but we could see some partly cloudy skies starting to build back in. Overnight lows will slowly inch towards the upper 60s.
