Lamar County, AL Road Conditions

VERNON, Ala. (WCBI) – The Lamar County Emergency Management Agency is asking people not to call 911 or the EMA office to ask about road conditions or power restoration updates.

The agencies have been overwhelmed with phone calls.

Lamar EMA says all highways in the county (278, 18, 17, and 96) are in good condition. Secondary roads are still very hazardous.

County road crews and utility workers are in the area working as quickly and as safely as possible.
