Video: Lee County Nabs Serial Burglar

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — The Grinch has been grabbed. Lee County authorities have jailed the man they think is responsible for a series of home burglaries in Saltillo and the North end of the county. Buddy Rakestraw is accused of being the man who hit the homes taking everything from jewelry to electronics to power tools. Investigators say Rakestraw was nabbed when he went to the well one time too often

“Mr. Rakestraw was charged of six counts of burglary of residence,” said Lt. Scotty Reedy of the Lee Co. Sheriff Dept. “Residential homes mostly in the part of northern Lee County. Most of them are part of Western part of the county, outside of west in Satillo and Guntown.”

Authorities have recovered some of the stolen loot and are in the process of of linking it back to its original owner.
