OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — Two local teenagers are working hard to promote unity in their community. This year marks the third annual year for the Unity in the Community Prayer Breakfast in Oktibbeha county. Hosted by the Graham sisters, church members and residents came together for worship and breakfast.

Akeah Graham says the morning time of fellowship is just one way to build a stronger community.

“I Think it’s important to keep on returning this because we should have unity in the community. If we don’t have unity in the community, the world would not be a successful place and it’s going to grow bigger and better and stronger,” said Akeha Graham.

The prayer breakfast was hosted at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church in Oktibbeha County. The sisters plan to return the event again next year.
