Louisville Leaders Seek Public Input Regarding Academy Park

LOUISVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — Louisville Mayor Will Hill slated a public hearing date regarding Academy Park.

Hill and city aldermen want residents to weigh in on the future of the park.

The park sustained damage during April’s deadly tornado, but was already closed to the public as a result of vandalism and other issues.

During initial recovery efforts, the Academy Park area was brought up in discussion while considering land for a housing development site.

The public hearing is set for 5:30 p.m. Sept. 23 at Louisville City Hall.
