LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. — Temperatures are falling fast in Northeast Mississippi. Most of us adjust our thermostats to warm up, but some residents of Lownde sCounty do not have that luxury. To assist them, United Way of Lowndes County is holding a “SHARE THE WARMTH”Coat Drive.

“As the cold weather moves in we are receiving phone calls from people who live without a proper heating systems and are asking for help,” United Way of Lowndes County Executive Director Patricia Brock said. “Donating a gently used coat will give relief to a family or individual during our chilling winter cold. This is a great group or family project to implement in your home, school, or business,” she added.

Gently used coats can be dropped off at the United Way office, located at 223 22nd Street North between 9 a.m. to 3           p.m. See our web site for more information:   www.uwlc-ms.org .
