MACON, Miss. (WCBI) -Residents in one Macon neighborhood are raising the volume on their complaints about loud music in their area. About a dozen citizens from Macon’s East Side showed up at the Board of Aldermen meeting to ask for the city’s help their noisy neighbors. According to residents most of the problems stem from the excessive volume of car stereos blasting around the clock.

“I have to go to work every morning. And there is noise from morning, noon, and night. Even when you get up in the morning time, there is noise, noise, noise! We are actually, as citizens, tired of the noise. We ask for patrols through the neighborhood that sometimes we ask for patrol through the neighborhood that sometimes we get…and sometimes we don’t.”

Aldermen took the issue under advisement, but took no immediate action.
