Video: Macon Sex Accusations

MACON, Miss. (WCBI) -It’s a crime involving sex, accusations and a video tape. The Macon Police Department is investigating a he-said, he-said case of child pornography.

“2 hundred and 50 thousand dollars, he ain’t killed nobody, why would they want to charge his bond that high,” said mother Yvonne Binione.

Yvonne Binione, mother of 18-year-old Jeremiah Davis, thinks her son’s bond does not match the crime. But, Authorities say Davis and 32-year-old Dean Taylor drugged a 16-year-old boy and then Taylor videotaped Davis performing a sex act. Taylor then posted the video on social media. The 16-year-old’s mother swore out warrants.

“Macon Police Department is investigating a sexual assault case on a juvenile involving several sexual charges one of which is child pornography using social media as a vehicle,” said Chief Mason.

Davis is charged with 1 count of sexual battery and 2 counts of enticement of a minor. Taylor is on the run. Davis’ mother does not deny it was her son in the video. But she claims the January incident was part of a longer, ongoing relationship.

“I want to know why they charged my son. Yes that’s him.  I think that’s him yea, I have no need to hide this, it’s him. I love my child, I’m not going to stand by and let them railroad my child. I’d die for that, I’m not going to let them do it, the city of Macon,”

The Department of Human Services has stepped as well. While the accusations swirl, Chief Mason says the whole issue of social media is a growing concern.

“It’s still open and it’s still on going and we have two adults charged in this crime. We have Jeremiah Davis in custody and we’re currently looking for Dean Taylor. We all know that the Internet is a valuable source of information that we can use but there is a dark side to it too that people are using too and in this case with the juvenile there definitely was a dark side,” added Chief Mason.

Authorities say once arrested, Taylor will be charged with child pornography.
