Man Charged After Chase With Repo Driver

MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — A 20-year-old Aberdeen man remains in the Monroe County Jail after a wild chase after a repossession company.

Monroe County Sheriff Cecil Cantrell says Antoine Griffin was arrested Monday after the company signed affidavits following the incident, which happened shortly after 8 Sunday night.

Cantrell says Griffin chased the repo driver down Highway 25 South, crashing into another vehicle at the intersection with Marina Road.

Griffin is charged with no insurance, leaving the scene of an accident, failure to yield, resisting arrest and felony malicious mischief.

He is awaiting a bond hearing.
