Man Charged In Hotel Robbery

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) — Four months of follow up has led to an arrest in an Oxford armed robbery.

Greg Hervey, 21, of Water Valley is charged with the July 8 armed robbery of the Hampton Inn on Sixth Avenue.

After months of leads detectives finally linked Hervey and a second man to the case. That second suspect, Keith Murray, also of Water Valley, was shot to death earlier this month in his hometown. The suspect in that murder is 36-year-old Wilson Hervey.

It’s not known if the two Herveys are related or if the shooting is connected in any way to the Oxford holdup.
