Man Charged in New Albany Carjacking Try
NEW ALBANY, Miss. (WCBI) — A Memphis man is arrested in Union County for attempted armed robbery.
According to New Albany police investigator Jeff Chism, 40-year-old Jerry Mason confronted a woman at the Kangaroo market on Highway 15 South about 4 a.m. Wednesday.
Mason asked for her car keys. When she said no, he pulled out a knife and asked again. The victim ran back into the store and called police.
Officers found Mason at the Pilot Truck Stop across the street. His bond is set at $50,000.
