Video: Man Stabbed To Death

WEST POINT, Miss. (WCBI)- A Hamilton man is dead after being stabbed to death in West Point.

Murcus Payne, 26, died early Sunday morning. Authorities tell WCBI that Payne was stabbed in the chest.

It happened around 11:30pm Saturday on north division street in the parking lot of Stop One Deli.

Payne was transported to North Mississippi Medical Center in West Point and later transported to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

Payne was pronounced dead in Tupelo around 3:30am.

West Police police have 3 suspects in custody.

The body is being sent to Jackson for an autopsy.

Officials say the death is still under investigation and will release more information as soon as it becomes available.
