Man, Woman Faces Violence Charges

FROM THE LOWNDES COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

On August 13, 2013 Lowndes County Sheriff Mike Arledge released information relative to the arrest of 27-year-old Forrest Hatcher of Columbus, Ms., on felony charges of Domestic Violence 3rd offense and Robbery.

According to Sheriff Mike Arledge, On August 8, 2013 Lowndes County Deputies responded to a disturbance on Richardson Road. Once on scene, Deputies received a complaint about a domestic violence incident in which the victim was struck.

According to the victim, Hatcher became angry when the victim refused his demand for money and assaulted him. The victim left the residence on the pretense of getting the money and called 911.

According to Sheriff Arledge, Hatcher was placed into custody at the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center and has received a bond of $25,000.00 for each offense.

In another case, on August 13, 2013 Lowndes County Sheriff Mike Arledge released information relative to the arrest of 28 year old Lean O’Callaghan of Caledonia, Ms. on a felony charge of Domestic violence 3rd offense.

According to Sheriff Mike Arledge, August 10, 2013, Lowndes County Deputies responded to a disturbance on Sanders Lane. Once on scene, several witnesses reported seeing Mrs. O’Callaghan assault the victim with an item. The victim was struck across the head and face area but is doing well at this time.

According to Sheriff Arledge, O’Callaghan was placed into custody at the Lowndes County Adult Detention Center and is currently out on a bond of $25,000.00.
