MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — Monroe County deputies make a major drug bust Tuesday afternoon.

Sheriff Cecil Cantrell says some of the marijuana plants are ten feet high.

The plants have an estimated street value of $100,000.

Cantrell says an ongoing investigation led them to the pot found at a home on Tubb Road in Hatley.

Frank Maxcy, 70, is charged with manufacturing marijuana. He’s being held in the Monroe County Detention Center.
