Video: Medical Clinic Opens in Noxapater

NOXAPATER, Miss. – (WCBI) Despite set backs from the April 28th tornado, health care has made its way to rural Winston County.

Winston Medical Center held a ribbon cutting and open house for their newest clinic in Noxapater. It employs one nurse practitioner, a lab technician and three other nurses.

Mississippi’s Secretary of State Delbert Hosemann was on hand for Thursday’s opening, and says its important that everyone has access to health care.

“It saves a lot of money for the state to have primary care early on and people don’t get so sick. We have to put them in the hospital, so these are really important places and Noxapater should be really proud of themselves,” says Hosemann.

The clinic is located on East Main Street.
