MHP Issues Silver Alert for 66-Year-Old Man

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — The Mississippi Highway Patrol has issued a silver alert for a man last seen in Montgomery County.

Authorities are looking to the public for information regarding the whereabouts of 66-year-old James Burchfield.

Burchfield was last seen in the Stewart community. He was traveling west on Highway 82 in a 1998 white Ford F-150, bearing Mississippi license plate CT2 480.

He’s said to be 5-foot-7-inches, weighing approximately 140 pounds. Burchfield wears long gray hair with a gray beard, and was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue jeans and a ball cap.

Burchfield reportedly suffers from medical issues for which he takes prescribed medicines.

Authorities say he could be traveling with 83-year-old James McClelland.
