Mike Rogers Wins Republican Primary for Alabama District 3 Congressional Seat

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) – Alabama Rep. Mike Rogers has won the Republican primary in the U.S. House District 3 race.

The Anniston congressman easily defeated challenger Thomas Casson of Auburn on Tuesday.

Rogers will face Democrat Jesse Smith in November. Smith didn’t have a primary opponent.

Rogers is seeking his seventh term in Congress.
