Miss Natchez Trace Reads Her Book

ABERDEEN, Miss. (WCBI) – A local Amory author with a message on health and fitness visited Belle Elementary School in Aberdeen today[Friday].

Sporting her crown, Miss Natchez Trace, Randi Kathryn Harmon of Amory read to students at Belle Elementary School. The MSU student’s book Peace For Pandas is incorporated as part of her platform. Third and fourth graders at the school were challenged to make wise food choices as they develop and maintain a healthy life style. The students are expected to participate in a poster contest that will be judged by Harmon in a few weeks.

“With the illustrations of pandas and its the story of my family how my father suffered a heart attack and he realized that he needed to change his healthy eating habits and become more healthier and exercise more,” said Harmon.

Harmon has twice competed in the Miss Mississippi Beauty Pageant.
