Missing Car Leads to Suspect, Drug Charges

PRENTISS COUNTY, Miss. (Press Release) — On Nov. 10, Prentiss County deputies arrested Anthony K. Jones, 37, of Booneville, and charged him with Grand Larceny and Possession of Controlled Substance (Meth) with intent to Sell or Distribute.

Authorities were investigating the theft of several old cars that had occurred the week before when Jones was discovered in possession of one of the vehicles.

After he was arrested, deputies discovered he was in possession of several grams of Crystal Methamphetamine, more than a person would normally have for personal use., Sheriff Randy Tolar said.

His bond was set at $10,000 and he was released on bond Nov. 12.
