Mississippi State Baseball on TV

A pair of ESPNU appearances at Dudy Noble Field are included in an eight-game slate of televised Mississippi State baseball games for 2013. The TV lineup featuring four home games and four road matchups for State is part of the Southeastern Conference’s extensive television announced Friday by the league office in Birmingham.

The Bulldogs will open Super Bulldog Weekend 2013 with a nationally-televised game with SEC West rival Auburn Apr. 18 (6:30 p.m.), part of the SEC’s Thursday Night Game of the Week on ESPNU. State later hosts Alabama May 3 on ESPNU in a Friday night (6 p.m.) series-opener in Starkville.

The coming season marks the fourth year of the Southeastern Conference’s 15-year agreement with ESPN. More than 70 SEC baseball games will be televised by the league’s broadcast partners ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNEWS, FOX Sports and Comcast Sports Southeast. Many of those games will also be streamed line online on WatchESPN/ESPN3. Additional TV games negotiated by the league’s schools not included in the SEC’s television package could be added to the lineup of televised SEC games in the coming weeks.

“Both the success and popularity of baseball in our conference continue to grow,” said SEC Commissioner Mike Slive. “We are pleased to be able to offer an increased amount of television coverage of SEC Baseball to our teams and to our fans. This continues to move our baseball exposure to new levels and to a national audience.”

State launches its spring TV schedule on SEC opening weekend March 16 with a Saturday night (6 p.m.) game against on Comcast. The Bulldogs also host Super Bulldog Weekend for Auburn in a Friday night (6:30 p.m.) game on CSS.

MSU’s four televised road games are at Kentucky Mar. 23 (11 a.m.) and Ole Miss May 12 (1 p.m.) on FOX Sports and at Texas A&M Apr. 13 (12:30 p.m.) and at Vanderbilt Apr. 27 (12 p.m.) on Comcast.
