Monday: Daily afternoon rain chances will continue and could be more prevalent as a front approaches the area. High temperatures will remain in the low 90s, and overnight lows will drop into the low 70s. You’ll have one more chance to catch the Perseid meteor shower under partly cloudy skies.
Tuesday: High temperatures will continue in the lower 90s one more day. There will be a good chance, around 50%, for morning and afternoon showers and thunderstorms. Gusty winds, lightning, and heavy downpours are possible. Overnight lows will drop into the lower 70s again as well.
Wednesday: A cold front will move through Wednesday, making rain chances higher ahead of the front. After the front passes, we will feel cooler and drier thanks to northwesterly flow. Timing of the front is still hazy, but we can expect for any rain associated with the front to be gone by the evening and cooler temperatures to make their comeback.
Thursday – Saturday: As we close out the week and start to the weekend, it is going to feel great! High temperatures will drop into the upper 80s, and overnight lows will sink into the 60s. Aside from a stray shower, we are expecting abundant sunshine and less humidity.
