Monroe Company May Expand

MONROE COUNTY, MIss. (WCBI) — A Monroe County furniture maker may expand, adding as many as 200 jobs.

County supervisors discussed the possible project and incentives in executive session Friday. County Economic Development Coordinator Tony Green said the unnamed company has not yet made a decision but could do so by the end of the year. If it does opt for Monroe County, the jobs could come within a year.

Governor Phil Bryant is expected to take part in the announcement if the deal is closed.
