Widespread cold rain will be seen across North MS and West AL Wednesday morning. Like the past couple of days, the greatest chance for freezing rain and slick bridges will be toward I-55 and farther NW toward Oxford.
Rain coverage will decrease this afternoon and evening. We’ll see more rain showers overnight, and some snow may mix in with the rain. There is a chance the rain will switch to all light snow in some spots. Accumulation is unlikely and there should not be any travel problems.
A peek of sun is possible by Thursday afternoon, and Friday through the middle of next week will feature abundant sun.
