We can expect a lull in the rain across our area later this evening. Very spotty rain is possible overnight. Skies will stay overcast and temperatures will cling to the upper 50s. Patchy fog likely.
It appears as if our rain and storm chances will go up again on Thursday when a cold front sweeps on through. Heavy rain will be possible with any shower or storm that happens to develop during the day.
As of right now, our rain chance Friday remains unchanged at 20 percent. We may bump this chance up if the system changes course or slows down.
Another front is expected to move into the region Saturday and it may take until the middle of next week to move on out. Several more inches of rain may fall during this time as well. The threat of flash flooding and river flooding will be on the increase if heavy rain does indeed occur in our area.
