MSU-Alabama Opener Postponed; Doubleheader Scheduled for Saturday

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI/MSU Athletics) — Due to persistent rainy conditions in Starkville and forecasts for a continuation of the wet weather, Friday’s series-opening baseball game between No. 15 Mississippi State and SEC Western Division rival Alabama has been postponed and rescheduled as a Saturday doubleheader at Dudy Noble Field.

The first game of the doubleheader is set for a 1 p.m. start, with a second game to follow the first game by 30 minutes.

Video streaming of both games of Saturday’s twinbill as well as Sunday’s 1L30 p.m. series finale will be available online to HailStateTV subscribers (http://www.hailstate.com/hstvlive).

Fans are advised that Friday’s reserved seat tickets (Game 28) will be honored for admission to general admission areas at Dudy Noble Field while Saturday’s reserved seat tickets (Game 29) will be honored for admission to the stadium chairback section.

Sunday’s series will be televised nationally by CBS Sports Network, with John Sadak and Marlon Anderson on the call of the game.

Stadium gates and ticket office windows open Saturday at 11 a.m. with $10 general admission tickets available.
