MSU Athletes Promote Reading

Mississippi State athletes ventured into the community on Thursday to promote reading. The Bulldogs, along with Athletic Director Scott Stricklin made an appearance at the Henderson Ward Stewart Elementary School to sign autographs, and to fire up the kids for reading.

“It’s just for the kids I love the kids they support us in everything especially at the games and they’re our future so we have to come back and let them know that the right thing to do is reading” said Senior Defensive Lineman Dewayne Cherrington.

“When you work in athletics or if you’re a student athlete you have a platform to influence people in a positive way. It’s an opportunity to make a positive impact on kids lives” added Mississippi State Athletic Director Scott Stricklin.
