STARKVILLE, Miss. – A recruit many SEC schools have had their eyes on said today that he’s going to be a member of the Mississippi State football team in 2014.

Quarterback Elijah Staley is between a three- and four-star recruit from Wheeler High School in Marietta, Ga. He’s 6’7”, 215 pounds and is a lefty. He threw for 1,804 yards and 16 touchdowns his junior season.

Staley said he also received an offer from Rick Ray to play basketball at State. He said he would like to play both sports if he’s able to.
