Graphic design seniors at MSU will present the “Just a Bunch of Hipsters” exhibit Dec. 2-8 in McComas Hall Art Gallery.

STARKVILLE, Miss. (Press Release) — Works of 14 graduating art/graphic design majors at Mississippi State will be on display Dec. 2-8 in the university’s McComas Hall Art Gallery.

Free and open to all, the art department-sponsored show titled “Just a Bunch of Hipsters” features various creations by the students during their final year of thesis studies. The exhibit includes web designs, posters, illustrations, packaging, self-promotional materials, as well as editorial, typeface, advertising and identity design, among others.

Also open to all, a public reception honoring the seniors takes place at 5 p.m. Tuesday [the 2nd] in the ground-floor gallery. Complimentary refreshments will be provided by City Bagel Café.

The graduating “Hipsters” include (by hometown):

AKRON, Ohio — Kelsey Ann Moore, the daughter of Sharon Schwertfeger.

GAUTIER — Victoria C. Strayham, the daughter of John and Carolyn Strayham.

GERMANTOWN, Tenn. — Carley E. Robertson, the daughter of John and Lesia Robertson.

GULFPORT — Austin C. Edwards, the son of Chadwick and Daniele Edwards.

HERNANDO — Rachel Lynn Weed, the daughter of George and Jodi Weed.

IRONDALE, Alabama — Carlyse W. Williams, the daughter of Carl and Wynee Williams.

MABEN — Chelbie C. Williamson, the daughter of Kenneth and Sandra Williamson.

MERIDIAN — Kimberly A. Davis, the daughter of Richard Davis and Laura Davis.

MULGA, Ala. — Colten H. McMickens, the son of Walter and Pamela McMickens.

NEW ALBANY — Mary Katherine Kitchens, the daughter of David and Patricia Kitchens.

OCEAN SPRINGS — Alyce N. Calkins, the daughter of Stephen Calkins and Jeri Boyd.

SARAH — Barney M. “Cissy” Rowland, the daughter of Timothy Rowland and Geraldene Word.

STARKVILLE — McRae Hopper, the son of Richard and Donna Hopper.

WASSERBURG AM BODENSEE, GERMANY — Katja Walter, the daughter of Hans and Eva Walter.
