Nail Wins Attala County Sheriff’s Race

Tim Nail

ATTALA COUNTY, Miss. – (WCBI) –   Attala County residents have chosen a new sheriff.

Interim Sheriff Tim Nail and Martin Roby squared off in Tuesday’s (11-27) runoff election.

They were vying for the position left vacant after Sheriff William Lee died in May.

Nail looks like the big winner, with 3,356 votes. Nail received 2,015 votes.

Several hundred absentee votes must be counted, but they are not enough to affect the outcome of the race.

Roby had worked as an investigator with the sheriff’s department.
