TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — A Tupelo restaurant is among 325 nationwide hit by cyber hackers looking to steal credit and debit card information

Data processor and point of sale provider Signature Systems Incorporated says cyber thieves gained access to credit and debit card transactions of the Lost Pizza locations in Tupelo and Southaven.

The company says a failure in its security, not the restaurants, allowed the thieves to gain access to card numbers, expiration dates and security codes.

Customers are asked to examine their bank records, and contact their bank if fraud is suspected.

The bulk of the data breach took place at Jimmy Johns locations in the northeast United States.
