TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) — She has gone from building homes for deserving families to finding homes for abandoned dogs and cats. Donna Jarrell has been named the new executive director of the Tupelo Lee Humane Society. Jarrell is no stranger to leading a non-profit organization. She has been the executive director of Northeast Mississippi Habitat for Humanity for the past 12 years, and served as resources coordinator for the Salvation Army in Tupelo. She has been a longtime volunteer for the Humane Society, and formed Warm Fuzzy’s Pet Rescue to help the organization promote more cat and dog adoptions.
Jarrell’s first day on the job will be February 10th.
