New Mural Donated to Tupelo Airport

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI)-Tupelo’s airport now has a work of art that brightens the terminal, and pays tribute to the city’s most famous citizen. A mural depicting Elvis Presley , his birthplace, and other landmarks was donated to the airport by D Casa restaurant. Restaurant owners were remodeling their third location and the mural didn’t fit in with the decor, so they decided to donate it to the city. “We talked to Mr. Reed and he thought it was a good idea to come here to the airport. I guess it’s gonna be pretty nice people come here all the time and ask what’s Tupelo all about and I think this painting represents what Tupelo is about,” Restaurant owner, Fidel Cupillo told WCBI. D Casa operates three restaurants in Tupelo.
