Newly Annexed Tupelo Homes Will Switch to City Services

[bitsontherun CQyfn0Xd]TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI)-All newly annexed residents of Tupelo will switch to the city’s garbage services and water and sewer by Monday (10-1). After a years-long battle with Lee County, Tupelo annexed 1,245 houses. Waste Management has been passing out new garbage cans and recycling bins to new residents with schedules of when to expect trash pick up. New routes will start Monday. Tupelo Water and Light will also implement its lower rates to 850 new residents Monday. Street lights are next to be installed. Tupelo plans to spend $1.2 million in the next year for all street lights city wide.
