Another weak cold front is moving through the region and it will keep the threat of showers and storms going through this evening; however, dry air behind the front will win out for the end of the work week. The month of August is going to start off on a rather uneventful note and that’s a good thing. Here is the latest detailed First Alert Forecast:
Tonight: Isolated evening storms will dissipate and skies will be variably cloudy overnight. Low temperatures will settle down into the low 70s and the wind will remain on the light side.
Thursday: Areas of clouds will likely greet us as we head out the door for work but the sun will gradually take over as the day goes by. Afternoon highs will be around 90. There will be northerly breeze between 5 and 10 mph.
Thursday Night: Mostly clear, quiet, and “cool” conditions are expected yet again. How about lows in the upper 60s? Quite refreshing!
Friday: Skies will be mixed with sun and clouds as high pressure remains in control. Temperatures are expected to warm into the low 90s again.
Weekend & Beyond: Rain chances will return on Saturday but I think most spots will remain dry. Better opportunities for showers and storms appear to exist for Sunday and early next week.
