NMMC Offering Saturday Morning Injury Clinics

TUPELO, Miss.— North Mississippi Medical Center will offer its free Saturday Morning Injury Clinic Saturdays, Aug. 23-Nov. 8, for area varsity athletes who sustain sports-related injuries in the previous night’s game.
The free clinic is offered each year during football season. Athletes will be seen by a board-certified orthopedic surgeon, receive a free X-ray (if needed) and return-to-play plans initiated by a certified athletic trainer to get the athletes back to their sport as quickly and safely as possible.
The Saturday Morning Injury Clinic is held at NMMC’s Outpatient Rehabilitation Center in Longtown Medical Park, 4381 S. Eason Blvd. Athletes should report at 8:25 a.m. and are seen in order of arrival. Parents should attend with their child. Athletes with possible concussions should be evaluated in the Emergency Department on Friday night.
