Nunnelee Suffers Small Setback In Recovery

PRESS RELEASE

Washington, D.C. – After undergoing a successful surgery on Monday, Rep. Alan Nunnelee (R-Miss.) continues to recover at MD Anderson in Houston, Texas.

While the doctors feel that they were successful in removing the mass, there are some complications. Nunnelee is experiencing difficulty with his speech and mobility on his left side. Doctors have been very encouraged with his progress and are further encouraged that with rehabilitation, Nunnelee’s speech and mobility will be restored.

The Nunnelee family is in good spirits, and they are incredibly appreciative of the outpouring of prayers and support that they have received during this time.

The Congressman will remain at MD Anderson until early next week and then will be moved to a rehabilitation facility in Houston. Please continue to keep Nunnelee and his family in your thoughts and prayers.
