Officers Charge Convicted Felon in Possession of Firearm

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) — A Columbus man is behind bars yet again for illicit possession of a firearm.

According to a press release provided by the Columbus Police Department, 34-year-old convicted felon Tyshaun Hudson was discovered to be in possession of a firearm.

Per the release, authorities came in contact with Hudson as he was “walking down the center” of Seventh Avenue North.

Police discovered a loaded firearm tucked in the waistband of Hudson’s pants. Upon checking Hudson’s past violations, police discovered he was convicted in 1998 for the sale of cocaine.

Hudson was arrested and charged with felony possession of a firearm.

Hudson’s bond was set at $5,000.
