CHICKASAW COUNTY, Miss. – An Okolona Police officer will face formal charges of DUI, failure to comply, misdemeanor possession of a controlled substance and speeding.

A Mississippi Highway patrolman pulled over Okolona Investigator Romona Robertson back on December 7th.

Trooper James Burrow says Roberston was speeding while driving her patrol car.

Judge Andrew Howarth presided over probable cause hearing Monday (2-4) in Chickasaw County Circuit Court.

He decided that there was enough evidence to file formal charges against Robertson.

She reportedly failed a field sobriety test, refused to take a breathalizer and had hydrocodone pills in her possession.

At last check, Roberston had not been suspended.

She showed up for her hearing in uniform.

A trial date has not yet been set.
