Oktibbeha Co. Home Destroyed in Fire

OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — The home of a longtime Oktibbeha County volunteer firefighter goes up in flames early Friday morning.

According to Oktibbeha County Fire Coordinator Kirk Rosenhan, volunteer fire crews were dispatched just after 7 a.m.

The home located on 16th Section Road was fully involved when crews arrived.

Although three quarters of the structure was able to be saved the home is considered a complete loss.

East Oktibbeha County Volunteer Fire Department and Bell School House Volunteer Fire Department responded to the scene.

The home belonged to Brad Spencer, who was out of state at the time.

The fire is believed to have started in the south end of the home.

No one was home at the time of the blaze.
