Oktibbeha County Jury to Hear Closing Arguments in Robbery Case

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — A 27-year-old Starkville man could face a lengthy prison sentence if a jury finds him guilty of robbery.

The Oktibbeha County jury will hear closing arguments and instructions Tuesday morning in the robbery trial for Joe Mitchell Gillespie.

Both the state and defense rested this afternoon after a day of testimony.

Gillespie is charged with snatching a wallet after asking for money while the victim sat in a car in the parking lot of a Highway 12 business in October 20-13.

Gillespie has a prior felony conviction.
