Oktibbeha County Sentencing

 

OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Starkville man is sentence to 20 years in prison for killing his uncle.

Earlier this week Kewon Delarryous Doss was fund guilty in an Oktibbeha County Court for killing his uncle 38 year old Larry Davis back in January. He will serve 20 years behind bars on a manslaughter charge, pay a $1,200 and $4,800 in restitution.

Authorities say, Davis died from a single gun shot wound to the torso. The shooting happened at a home the two men shared.

In an unrelated case a man accused of slitting the throat of a Shipley’s Donut employee during a robbery has been sentenced to 30 year in prison.

22 year old George Johnson was found guilty of armed robbery and aggravated assault that occurred in June of last year. Johnson told police he had committed the robbery to get some money to get to California.

They say,  he entered the store around six o’clock that morning slit the throat of one of the attendants and struggled with another stabbing that person several times.
