Oktibbeha County Winter Term Criminal Court Cases

OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – Monday Oktibbeha County Circuit Court will begin hearing criminal court cases during its winter term.

According to the schedule over 200 trials, hearings, sentencing and revocations are in store for the upcoming weeks.

The cases will be divided among Circuit Court Judges Jim Kitchens, Lee Howard and Lee Coleman. Judge Coleman is set to hear one murder trial, Mississippi vs Dennis Thompson, while Kitchens will preside over a manslaughter trial, Mississippi vs Lijames Halbert.

The docket also includes several felony DUI, domestic violence, aggravated assault, embezzlement, rape and grand larceny charges amongst others.
