Oktibbeha Lake is One Step Closer to Opening

[bitsontherun ifDE4dsS]OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)-The Oktibbeha County Lake is one step closer to being open to the public again. At last nights meeting, the Oktibbeha County School District conservator Jayne Sargent signed a lease agreement for the school districts portion of the county lake and campgrounds. The land will be leased for thirty-one thousand two hundred and ninety dollars a year to John Barnett and Rick Stansbury which is one hundred dollars an acre. The three hundred and twelve acres will be leased for a twenty-five year period with eight year adjustments. The goal is for the lake and campgrounds to remain open to the public. The remain Ninety-five acres is underwater and is still unleased.
