OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI Sports) - Ole Miss sophomore offensive lineman Austin Golson may be transferring from the school, head coach Hugh Freeze confirmed Monday.
The reasons aren’t related to football. Multiple reports say Golson is interested in returning closer to his Prattville, Ala. home. Freeze says Golson has two grandparents with health concerns.
Freeze says that he would “probably” not prevent him from transferring to an SEC West rival given his situation.
Golson left the spring as the likely starting right tackle.
