One Dies in Tishomingo House Fire

IUKA, Miss. (WCBI) – A man was killed in a house fire in Tishomingo County early Sunday morning.

According to Tishomingo County Coroner Mack Wilemon, James Matthew Willard, 44, is believed to be the deceased.

The fire took place at Willard’s home on Highway 25 in the North Crossroads community around 1 a.m.

The house was completely engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived at the scene.

The body was transported to Jackson for an autopsy.

The case remains under investigation.
