Video: One Injured in Lowndes Co. Crash

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. – (WCBI) One person is airlifted from the scene of a car crash in Lowndes County. It happened on Concord Road, off of Highway 69, just before 7 p.m Tuesday.

According to Chief Deputy Marc Miley, the metallic SUV driven by an unidentified woman lost control before slamming into a tree.

She was reportedly pinned in the SUV.

Witnesses add that she was awake and communicating. The medical helicopter landed just before 8 p.m, and transported her to North Mississippi Medical Center in Tupelo.

Her condition is unknown at the time of this posting.

The Lowndes County Sheriff’s Department is in charge of the investigation.
