Oxford High School’s New Principal Announced

OXFORD, Miss. – (WCBI) The Oxford School District announces Bradley Roberson as the new Oxford High School Principal, effective July 1, 2015. He is presently the high school principal at Senatobia High School, a position he has held for the last two years.

Roberson will move into the new high school principal position this summer when current Oxford High School Principal Mike Martin becomes co-athletic director for the district.

“We are very fortunate to have Mr. Roberson back in the Oxford School District,” said Oxford School

District Superintendent Brian Harvey. “His experience, intelligence and passion as an educator make him the perfect choice as the new principal of Oxford High School.”‘

Roberson is a familiar face to the Oxford School District and has served in many educational administrative roles within the district. He was Oxford Middle School Assistant Principal from 2011 to 2013, where he was the lead school administrator for the middle school’s math department. As Oxford High School Assistant Principal during the 2010-2011 school year, Roberson coordinated administrative duties related to the school’s math department, SATP teacher team and was also responsible for ninth-grade discipline.

He also served as the Oxford School District Associate Athletic Director from 2008 to 2011, where he monitored grade performance of student athletes, implemented the district’s Drug Testing Policy for student-athletes, while also overseeing MHSAA student-athlete eligibility. Roberson started his
teaching career at Oxford High School, where he was a math teacher from 2000 to 2008.

Roberson has many educational professional awards under his belt such as the University of Mississippi T.P. Vinson Educator of the Year, Oxford School District Administrator of the Year, Oxford School District Teacher of the Year, Oxford High School Teacher of the Year, Oxford School District First
Teacher of the Year, and the Mississippi Association of Coaches Distinguished Coach Award.

He holds both a bachelor’s degree and master’s degree in education curriculum and instruction from the University of Mississippi. In 2008, he completed the Mississippi Alternate Path for Quality School

Leaders from the Mississippi Community College Foundation and the State Board of Education.
