Oxford Police Make Kidnapping, Assault Arrest

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) — A Maryland man is behind bars in Oxford on kidnapping and assault charges.

Oxford police have arrested 25-year-old Garen Green-Scott, of Baltimore.

Investigators say they received a domestic violence complaint Saturday, met with the victim, and saw she had obvious signs of being assaulted.

They say Green-Scott confined her, and wouldn’t let her leave or call for help.

Police are charging him with kidnapping, and domestic violence aggravated assault.

Police say since Green-Scott was already out of jail on a previous felony bond, his $100,000 bond was revoked.
